Tuition for 2021-2022

All Grades: $13,000/ year ($1,300/ month for 10 months) (What does your tuition purchase?)

The tuition amount covers most school supplies and includes an annual $50 per student activity fee for special events.

New Student fee

Registration: $50 Non-refundable, one-time fee for new students–waived for siblings

Payment schedule for all grades

A full month’s tuition deposit is due both on May 1, 2021 and June 1, 2021, to hold your child’s place for fall. These two payments are NON-REFUNDABLE in the event of early withdrawal or non-attendance. (Your May 2021 and June 2021 deposits are your May 2022 and June 2022 tuition payments in advance.)

Eight more payments are due during the school year on the first of each month, September through April.

Late payments/NSF checks

Any payment received after the 7th of the month will be subject to a $20 late charge to be paid the next month. NSF checks will be assessed a $25 fee.

There is a 2% discount for tuition paid in full by May 7th. A one-time payment of $12,740 (for one student) must be received no later than May 7th, 2021 to qualify for this discount. The “paid in full” amount for two children (with the 4% sibling and the 2% paid-in-full discounts) is $24,970; for three children it is $37,201.

There is a 4% discount on the younger child’s tuition if a family has two or more children at Tilden School. The monthly sibling tuition amount is $1,248. The monthly amount for two children (with 4% sibling discount included) is $2,548, for three children it is $3,796.

Technology Fee

A technology fee is due the first day of August before your child’s 3rd grade year. This covers the cost of a computer and associated equipment your child will use at school; at the end of 5th grade (or when your child leaves Tilden), families will keep the computer and equipment. For students entering 3rd grade in fall, 2021, the fee is $400.

Tilden School works hard to keep tuition as affordable as possible while providing an excellent education. We do not require our families to fund raise or contribute to scholarships; tuition does not include any extra amount to subsidize scholarships. Therefore, we do not provide financial aid.
