All Grades: $17,000/ year ($1,700 March tuition deposit +$1,275.00/ month for 12 months)

The tuition amount covers everything needed for the school year, including most school supplies. There is a technology fee collected for rising 3rd grade students, see below. Note: the After-School Enrichment program is not covered by tuition.

New Student fee

Registration: $50 Non-refundable, one-time fee for new students.

Payment schedule for all grades

A $1,700.00 tuition deposit is due March 15, 2024 (February 16th for returning students), to hold your child’s place for fall. This payment is NON-REFUNDABLE in the event of early withdrawal or non-attendance.

12 monthly payments are due during the school year on the first of each month, July through June.

Tuition for the 2025-26 school year has not yet been announced. The Board of Trustees will set tuition rates in Q1/2025.

Late payments/NSF checks

Any payment received after the 7th of the month will be subject to a $20 late charge to be paid the next month. NSF checks will be assessed a $25 fee.

Discounts

There is a 2% discount for tuition paid in full by May 1st. A one-time payment of $14,960.00 (for one student) must be received no later than May 1st, 2024 to qualify for this discount. The “paid in full” amount for two children (with the 4% sibling and the 2% paid-in-full discounts) is $29,172.00

There is a 5% discount on the younger child’s tuition if a family has two or more children at Tilden School. The monthly amount for two children (with 5% sibling discount included) is $2,486.00.

Technology Fee

A technology fee is due the first day of August before your child’s 3rd grade year. This covers the cost of a computer and associated equipment your child will use at school; at the end of 5th grade (or when your child leaves Tilden), families will keep the computer and equipment. The fee this year was $300.00. The fee for 2025 will be announced in spring, 2024.

Scholarships

Tilden School works hard to keep tuition as affordable as possible while providing an excellent education. We do not require our families to fund raise or contribute to scholarships; tuition does not include any extra amount to subsidize scholarships. Therefore, we do not provide financial aid.

Tuition for 2025-2026 will be announced before tuition deposits are due.
